I'm ,looking for somewhere to use my dirt bike in the Newcastle upon tyne area? don`t ask your local council because their land has to be covered for third party insurance they won`t let you go on it find a private land owner that will let you go localy or find a group of local off roaders and join them ride safetly. Although i do not own or have any interest whatsoever in motorbikes, i know the area well. Gosforth; Try up the back of Sandy Lane in Gosforth - this is well known to be one of the places in the city to go- although they have been doing some landscaping work on this recently and i dont know the situation. They have blocked off a disused pit here - into backworth from the west (gossy and Sandy Lane) go over the speedbumps in the village. right turn at mini roundabout over railway crossing and passed a scrapyard called Backworth Motor Group. Carry on and you cannot miss it - on the left. This is also Popular Havannah Nature Reserve This is another place and is near the Airport. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?c... In the middle opposite Morley Hill Farm. I do not know what the situation is with this site - i think they may have blocked off this site completely although if you can enter here from the enterance closest to Runway 25 you can sneak around the side of the anti-motorbike iron bars... dont blame me if you get caught...! there is a track near teeside airport st jamess park!!!!!!! |
