How do I bleed the front break on my dirt bike? |
I recently asked a similar question, I bled the master cylinder and now fluid comes out when I pump the break handle. Now I have to get the air out of the rest of the line, There seem to be two points right on the break to bleed from. one looks like a grease fitting and is at the end of the line. The other bolt is inbetween the master cylinder and the greese fitting one. Just to be specific the two bleeding points are within 2 inches of each other right there on the break. What do I have to do now to get it to work? Is the bolt youre reffering to behind the "grease fitting" one a banjo bolt??? Leave it alone... Same way you bled the master cylinder... I get myself some battery drain tube about 12" long and I put it over the "grease fitting" end with the other end in a catch bottle. Pump the brake lever until it is hard, then, while still holding the lever in, crack that grease fitting a 1/4 - 1/2 turn, all the while keeping pressure on the lever. When the lever gets to the bottom of travel, tighten that nut again so air doesnt go back up the system. Repeat until all air is out of the lines. Good luck! or to make it easier for one person to do da job go to a bike shop and purchase a mityvac brake bleeder, makes it into a one person job.allways good to have da right tools bro. |
