Im 12 years old and i really want a dirt bike? |
But my mom says theyre dangerous how do i talk her into letting me get one. I want a 03 honda xr100. Riding a dirt bike on a dirt track with the proper safety equipment is relatively safe in the hands of a smart rider. When I was your age and I wanted something, I would go do research to prove my point to my parents. You have the internet at your fingers so go out and learn all you can about dirt bikes and safety. Make a presentation to your mom to support your side. You can take riding lessons too which may help you mom's concerns. Like a previous person said, don't whine and nag as that will only show you're immature and NOT ready for the responsibility of a dirt bike. yeah, i agree with ttr125biker, he has no clue what he is talking about. i whould tell your mom how carefull you are and remind her how many kids safly ride dirt bikes around your area. get a paper round you lazy tyke just start saving your money until you can be responsible for yourself. when you can move out and support yourself you can buy anything you want. unfortunately until then your parents have control and they will not do something they think is dangerous. that is their responsibility as your parents. sort of like you don't let a 2-yr-old run into the street even though they really want to. They are dangerous. There's probably not much you can do to convince your mother otherwise. I suppose you could try researching injury rates on dirt bikes and see if they're lower than other things that she'd be okay with. My guess is that the injury rate is higher in which case you're out of luck. Do you have enough money? If your have enough money, so talk to her |
