Should i buy a 2 stroke or 4 stroke dirt bike? |
i dont plan on racing exept with my friends mabey now and then go to a track but mostly trails and jumps nothing though too huge and i was wondering if i should get a 125 2 stroke or a 250 4 stroke i have 5 years of riding i am almost 15 5'9" 155 pounds and don't know what to get(i dont care about noise or polluting) A 250 is a lot bigger than a 125. Oh I, just noticed that the 250 is a 4 and the 125 is a 2.. I would definitely get the 4 stroke 250. You won't grow out of it and 2 strokes are a pain in the a*s. 4 strokes are faster. you say you don't care about sound nut the 4 stroke sounds meaner too. only you have to mix your gas you know. i would ride both tho. which one are you more comfortable on? which one looks nicer/better/newer to you if you care about that kind of stuff. If your not hardcore racing, go for the 4 stroke. i think that you should get a 4 stroke because their really good on trials and stuff like that and if that's what your going to be doing most of the time then its better. What it really comes down to, is how much do you want to work on your bike? The new 4-stroke motors will give you a lot more time riding between tune-ups. They are making tons of torque and horsepower. And, are going to be the only things legal to sell by manufacturers in 2008. Because of the emissions laws passed by California. So, get yourself a 4-stroke, and save yourself a ton of headaches. Employee of ARIZONA SUPERBIKE. If you are not a good rider then get a 4 stroke i would get the 125 2 stroke they are are better then 4 stroke and sound louder and if you think you are going to out grow it just Jake up the shocks and if you want it to go faster put some power bands on it. |
