This is a Help-full link for parents and kids looking into the sport of motocross. Also on this site you will be able to view what "district" you are in and what races will be in your are along with classes available.

Also if you want to see if he takes on to the sport in a little less of a point related and more fun races you can check your local tracks and see if they have series that they sponsor that will help your kid become more accustom to racing and the enviorment.
