Which one is better yamaha/honda dirt bikes (read details.)? |
Hi, my friend has a honda crf80 and he is telling me i should get a honda. I was thinking about getting a honda crf100f. Are yamaha dirt bikes better? And Are motocross dirt bikes better for jumping things? I want a fast bike that wont get messed up if i jump high. I also want a bike that wont break down on me. Please answer. Truth is that none of the big 5 manufacturers are better than the other. One may have a better 85, someone else has a better 250 and so on. Go pickup a magazine and read some tests to get more details on the ones you are interested in. If you plan to do any jumping at all the CRF-F or TTR bikes will not cut it. You will break a CRF100 or 80 if you do any real jumping. The first question to ask yourself is where are you going to ride. Do you have an MX track nearby? Are you just going to ride trails? If you are going to trail ride and only jump really small stuff, the CRF100 would be great. I have one myself as a pit bike. If you plan to ride motocross you will need an 80/85 motocross bike or the CRF150R. Motocross bikes will be a lot more expensive than trail bikes just so you'll know what to expect. hondas are better try the crf150 its a really good race bike and hondas are always reliable...how often you rebuild depends on how you ride the bike Honda and KTM build the best four stroke engines. Yamaha isn't far behind. If you want a fast bike that you can jump, a crf150 might be more up your alley than a crf100. The crf100 is a good bike for beginners. It is very reliable and will last you for years. If you are planning on jumping, the bikes you listed are not very good for that. They can take a couple 3 foot hills, but if you are planning on landing 50 ft doubles, then you should set your sites on something more suited for the task. Judging by the size of bikes you are looking at, you are either small or a beginner. If you are a beginner, both of those bikes listed above, along with a Yamaha TTR-125 are some good beginner options. If you are just small, then Honda's new CRF-150 would be a very nice bike for you. Any of the little 80cc to 110cc bikes are pretty good, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, KTM, or Kawasaki, for a trail bike or a pit bike. None of these are really made for big jumps or very much speed. The new Honda CRF150 is the only little four-stroke currently out there right now that is made to race and jump. If you are not in a hurry and do not want the Honda, just wait. It won't be long before all the other brands bring out a competetive bike for the Honda CRF150. I've ridden em all!!! |
