Average price of used dirt bikes? |
I have been looking into buying a used dirt bike for myself. I've never bought one or ridden one in the past so I don't know how much money I'll need to buy it. What I'm looking for is something that's fast and fun. How much money do people usually expect for a used bike that's in great condition? The bikes size would probably be average; something for a 19-20 year old person. Also, I don't really know anywhere local that is selling good bikes so if you know a realiable online source, that would be helpful too. Around $1500 to $ 2000 for one about 8 years old. depending of the size of the bike anywhere from 1500 and up. Try cycletrader.com, they have new and used bikes from across the country. Most dealers have used bikes for sale, but you have to haggle with them a bit. You can get one that's only a few years old for a little more than half the new price. Unless it's in pristine condition I wouldn't pay more than 3000 for a starter bike for you. Remember to get gear also, good luck. Ridden and raced motocross for 25 years. |
