I have a Yamaha Wr 426 dirt bike. I just bought a hid kit for motorcycles and I want to know how much power it takes for the initial ark on the bulb. Or how much power the bike will need to produce.

On cars it's quite a bit, up to 30 amps. BUT I don't know, when I was told this is that was for the CAR (both lamps) or if that was per light. It takes alot to fire them up, but once they are going they consume less than a regular incandescent bulb does. Sounds like you know this already though.
