I really want a drit bike? |
k, i really want a dirt-bike for my 13th birthday, what r some things i can say to them to make them say yes, i allready told them how much i want it and i will do more work around the house and i wont have a very big birthday that will cost them a lot. what else do u think i could say to them??? any ideas? Hey, it's cool that you wanna take up riding, respect for that :) Generally, you should just keep mentioning your wish every now and then and that it is what you really want to do, without getting too insistent... they will see that it is really important to you and sooner or later they won't be able to resist :) it'll keep you occupied and away from bad stuff like drugs and stuff. i know retarded, but it worked for me, and i said i'd give up four years worth of christmases and birthdays for it. They are fun and can even be a family experience. There may be an MSF dirtbike class in your area. Get them to sign you up for that and talk to the instructor. I really wanted a dirt bike wen i was younger, but never got one so i just gave up. When i eventually started workin and paid for one myself i was a complete nautral to riding. I feel like i have wasted a hidden talent. So my advice is convince them you wil be the best and make loads of money and dont stop askin them Ask them if they will match you dollar for dollar, then go out and get a paper route or start mowing lawns. Heck they may be so proud of you wanting to go out and earn some money for something you want, they may just go ahead and buy it for you. Make sure you always wear you safety equipment though say you have friends who have them and sit around your house and dont do anything for a few weeks and if they ask you where your friends are say out ridding there dirt bikes and make them feel bad get good grades and do things around your house with out them telling you to clean your whole house a few times try to make some money and offer to make a down payment go for a used bike but a bike like a 100 isnt that much money when it is new and make them think you are responsible and wont be flying around on it and hitting jumps and that stuff (i know what you are going through i am trying to talk my parents into buying me a bigger bike) |
