What types of dirt bikes will i race. I have never raced before.
You would have to race the 125 class. If you just want to get out there and see if you like it that's fine, but be careful and stay out of the way. Even the 125 D class riders are fast. Most of these guys have come up through the mini ranks and have years of racing experience. Before you consider racing take your bike to the track and practice. The CRF230 was not intended for MX so if you jump it very hard you will either break it or crash hard. There are very little suspension upgrades for the 230 other than stiffer springs from BBR Motosports. By all means get out there and give it a try. Yes you will be at a huge disadvantage by not having an MX bike but who cares. It is your first race so just get out there and have fun. We all had to start somewhere. If you do like racing look at moving up to an 85 or CRF250, depending on your age.
probly the 125 class youd be at a big dissadvantage tho. your bikes not ment to race.
