If you know about bikes as in dirt bikes should I get a YZ 125 or a CR125? I ride a Honda CRF250R myself just so you know this isn't a biased answer. The YZ125 is a much better bike all around than the CR125. I would really recommend that you spend the extra $700 - $800 on a new 250F though if possible. If you plan to buy used be careful, 125s and 250Fs that have been raced may be in need of some expensive repairs. These little engines get run at extreme RPMs. definatley a cr. there faster and more realibe and this is the last year honda is making thr cr's. there replacing them with 4 strokes. so you can sell thta vike for a fortune in a few years. It depends what you want to do. YZ's, the Yamahas, are a race bike, motocrossers, they have race suspension and race motors. some CRF's are motocross or enduro/trail bikes If you think they are both the same, then its just looks the blue scratches show up more than the red yamahas have a better "strength" in the lower gears and hondas are better in the middle power range its all up to you but i wouldnt buy a 2 stroke, coz 2 stroke days are over. honda will stop making them, yamaha will in about 2 years and then no one will want to buy the 2stroke unless it is for a collection personally, i like the 450's and the YZ 250 Yz 125 theyre fun to ride, and there a yamaha. That should speak for itself. haha Im a Yamaha Freak Qn_dvd First of all, what are you going to do with it? Ride it where???? trails, tracks, dunes? I am a 36 year old female and have ridden everything from harleys to a tiny jr50 and KX500 is the bomb! I actually would recommend though a KX250. You should have the power to do what you need it to do. You just don't get that with a 125 in my opinion. a little help here is if your balls out ride go for the yz parts r cheeper to fix when u brak them but if u trail ride and are on a budget go 4 the honda it more relibal and wont brake the bank less maintence on the honda Now I'll answer your question regarding the two bikes you asked about. The YZ and the CR are so close in every definition of performance, either is a good choice. Probably the deciding factor should be: which shop is closer, which will give the better deal and maybe throw in some riding gear at discount, which shop has the better reputation, which shop gives active racing support. Go to the news stand and pick up a motocross magazine and read a few tests. |
