How many people die on dirt bikes each year? The people who die on dirt bikes each year is not reported. there is no firm way to prove the statistics about fatalities and dirt bikes. yes there are deaths relating to off road riding, but the majority of the people killed or seriously injured are the people out riding abouve thier limitations, or not wearing the appropriate safety gear. Sure there are racers out there and riders alike that get seriously injured and even killed due to an accident, but the majority comes from people not wearing helmets, riding dirt bikes in traffic and not obeying the traffic laws, etc. Too Many mostly because of stupidity http://www.srac.org/forums/lists/srac%20... I haven't seen any statistics on that so I don't know. I do know that many people die on ATV's around here every year. People think ATV's are safe because they have four wheels. They don't bother to learn the right way to ride them and never wear helmets. There is also a good deal of drunk riders. I've always considered bikes safer because you need a greater degree of skill to ride them. Heaps, I know three people from one family last year here in Australia all died, swept over a waterfall in a raging river.... |
