Two-Stroke or Four-Stroke??? |
Hey i was wondering if i should get a two or four stroke honda or yamaha dirt bike. Itll be from the 90's. I know four strokes last longer and are more reliable. But, twos you can mod them really col and there alot faster. i need a superfast bike. Which would you recommend? Any sites about this question.? And what bike would you reccomend???thanks alot. ill give the best answer to the person with the most info, and the best info. depends on what you want it for,2 stroke for blasting around tracks they can be a bit harder to ride with the narrow power band.but are cheaper to rebuild, and 4 stroke for for longer trail rides as they use less fuel you don't have to mix fuel and oil and they are less tiring.broader power band. you need to know what you want to use it for. Source(s): 38 years riding and racing i like stroking it more than 2 or 4 times OOPS! SORRY. Thought this was a masterbation question. 2 stroke all the way!!!! 2. For no other reason than it makes a statement. It says: "I wanna piss off the eco-weenies" "I wanna piss off the Nazis who make laws against loud motorcycles" and "I wanna piss off 4-strokers with huge displacement who can't catch my @$$." . 4 strokes are tough and have awsome pulling power . but a 2 stroke will out rev out power and out speed a 4 stroke. it will not last as long and it will need to be rebuilt more often and you will need to mix oil into the gas for its lube and the power won't be at it's max power until about 8000 rpm's but if you want fast high performence and crazy power than the 2 stroke is the way to go. but if you want simple mataince and a strong hard pulling power a 4 stroke will build it's max power at about 3 to 5 k [ rpm ] . it will go for years with just oil changes and no overhauls. 4 strokes are great for woods rideing but 2 stokes are great for wide open feilds and race tracks. i hope this will halp you to find the write bike |
