Can my dirtbike do wheelies?? how?? |
hey, i have a '05 yamaha ttr 230 dirt bike.... its pretty much a mechanically stock bike.. except for a big gun exhaust system... can it do wheelies?? if it can how do i do them?? clutch or power?? any good instructions on how to wheelie will be greatly appreciated... please no smart *** remarks about how dangerous it is to stunt.. thanks in advance The key to wheelies is using the rear brake. Move your body weight to the rear and use a lower gear, apply power while releasing clutch as the front comes up use the rear brake to keep it from going too high or going over. A combination of rear brake and power application will get you going. As you get better you will need the brake less and depend on your balance more. Start on sand or really soft dirt and wear a helmet of course. Have fun! i guess you can do a wheelie on it ... you just have to know how to control it and ride it. i haven't seen it so i really don't know. ya put it in neutral and then rev it really high and then pop it in first tht will get u goin my dirtbike you can do wheelies on just about any bike.you need to use both clutch and power.try having the bike rolling slowly in first gear pull the clutch in and give it some gas but not to much at first. then lean back and pop the clutch at the same time. start off easy and practice you will get better. it can be helpful to be able to wheelie a dirt bike as there are times when you need to pop the front wheel over a log or rock. just remember start of easy on flat ground and work from there. 38 years riding and racing. Hell Ya!!! a 230 Yamaha!! its all about the cluck. ill give u some instructions. 1. you wanna have a slow speed. not to slow. 2. in between 1-2 gear. (i suggest 2) 3.hold the clutch... give it some gas (with the the clutch still being hold). Tip: u wanna give it SOME GAS. 4. while still giving it gas and holding the clutch at the same. time let go of the clutch (not the gas!!) 5. pull back a little bit while doing the last part of the last step. 6. do these steps fast and Ur doing a wheelie and looking like a pro. Any questions? Email me Good Luck!!!!! |
