Which graph should i use? |
i have to use either three of the following graphs: Bar Graph Line Graph Pie Graph which should i use if i need to measure for speeds of a dirt bike on either dirt or pavement. Bar Graph You shouldn't use a line graph because that shows change over time. You shouldn't use a pie graph because that compares a few items while showing a part of a whole. You should use a bar graph because this is comparing a few items. The measurements should be on the vertical axes and the label "dirt" and "pavement" should be on the horizontal axes. Bar Graph i would suggest a bar graph, but here is a website you can go to for more info!!! hope i helped : ) http://www.abs.gov.au/websitedbs/d331011... A line graph will allow you to compare two sets of points - speed on dirt and speed on pavement. Pie is almost always reserved for parts of a whole - as in, what percent of my allowance goes for video games, what percent for food, what percent for movies. Bar is okay but not as good as line. I've used Excel for about a billion computer years, so if you need help - just holler. Go for the pie graph because pie taste good, they are also very cool to look at. http://www.wdvl.com/authoring/languages/... If you go to http://www.sapdesignguild.org/resources/... you'll find some guidelines explaining when you should use the different types of graphs. You can figure out which would work best for your purpose. |
