What is a nose deflector on a motorbike helmet?


I am looking to buy a dirt bike helmet from eBay and it does not come with a nose deflector and I have no idea what this is. Help!

It is the "removable" face part of a dirt helmet.
They help when you don't want to "Steam" up your goggles. Source(s): Translated from a guy who rides and writes like he's Japanese.
I dirtbike and I ahve no clue what a nose gaurd is. They could have ment by that it's not a full face helmet, which would make it like an ATV helmet. Some goggles have nose deflectors, but I have no idea with a helmet.
If there is such a thing for a helmet, Thor, Fly, and Fox should all have them.
a nose deflector is normally on a full face helmet with a closing visor not dirt helmets it is a piece of plastic\material that cups over the nose running up from the chin guard to stop your breath steming up the visor in cold weather ...and is normally remouvable
