Has anyone heard of an old harley davidson 160 cc.? |
It looks like a dirt bike. In the mid-70's, Harley sold a line of dirt bikes. They were really made by Aermacchi (if I spelled it correctly) but had the H-D nameplate on them. I am not familiar with the sizes, but 125, 175, and 250 cc's were popular dirtbike sizes at the time, so a 160 is very probable. I did some quick research and it looks like Harley owned Aermacchi from the late 50's through 78. The link below (the bikes on the left hand menu) will sho wyou some information on them. I did not see a 160, but they did have 125, 150, and 175's, so it is possible. Source(s): http://www.aermacchi-world.de/ You'll have to go back to the earliest Harleys to find that motor. Probably the 30's or 40's. No. I haven't heard of the 160 CC, however there is a place in Rome, GA that goes back for several generations of harley owners, I am sure they can give you more information.
