Does this dream mean anything.? |
i had this dream that this guy(we'll call him loser) that i liked was racing his dirt bike in the wrong class. anyway, after the race we all got changed form our racing gear to normal clothes.then we went walking down this road with one of my friends and we were each on one side of loser. he put his arm around me and we were walking down this road. i can even remember what i was wearing and where we were. i had this dream two nights in a row. any way, could this be telling me that he likes me or that it could be predicting the future?? normally when people have dreams like this, its their subconscious mind telling them how they really feel about that person. On the surface you might think of him as a loser, but deep down you know that there may be more to Mr Loser than meets the eye and you know it, but you're denying it... to yourself. That dream was probably just reminding you not to judge a book by its cover and get to know the real 'loser'. To understand a dream, it鈥檚 helpful to keep in mind why and how we dream. When we sleep, the body and perception systems are shut down, but the brain remains active. The brain thinks about what has recently been most active during waking hours鈥攅xperiences, thoughts and feelings accessed recently whether consciously or not. The brain is still active, so it works on this content, but not in a familiar, rational way. During sleep, this material is not related using input from the external real world, but rather by the brain connections already established in the cortex. So the story connectedness isn鈥檛 like everyday experience, but rather a strange, circuitous flow from one image to the next. So dreams aren鈥檛 magical messages to guide our life, but dream imagery is taken from everyday experiences, thoughts and feelings that matter most to us during our waking life. So it鈥檚 a mistake to apply standard symbol definitions, such as Freudian meanings. All you need to do is think about what kind of imagery it is and how it relates to your daily life. What your dream tells you is that you have romantic feelings for this guy. Apparently you think a lot about him in this way, whether you're conscious of it or not. It does not tell you anything about HIM, however, and it doesn't predict any kind of future. The future depends on what you do next and he does not...not the dream. 20 years studying the research of cognitive neuroscience and its application to learning and effective behavior. Even though you are calling him a loser, this dream means that you actually think highly of him and that you are also in love with him. |
