Fradulent Business, Stolen Motor? |
I live in Pennsylvania and sent a motor to Illinois, where it was stolen by fradulent business owner Eric Gorr ( dirt bike speed shop ). Where do I file a police report? If I have to travel to Illinois for small claims court, can I also seek reimbursement for airfare and travel expenses? Technically this would be conversion not theft because you sent it willingly to him. You can sue him in small claims court in Illinois. You can try for the airfare and travel expenses but there's a good chance you won't get them. Just be prepared for that. EDIT: Be careful what you say about this person. He can sue you for slander or libel. I know you're angry but the best way is to go through the courts. sure can, first you need to gather as much info you can on this person, maybe hire a private investergator to hunt this person down and get him into court. make sure you have all proof you need though Contact Costello Recovery at www.costelloautorecovery.com or at www.cnyrepo.com.
