Question about motor cross??? Motorcross people only!? |
I'm a girl. I REALLY want to get into motorcross! I have know idea how to. Or evan where to start. It sounds like so much fun! I have know idea what kind of dirt bikes there are, or even what the basic parts of a uniform for motorcross is. Please tell me everything I need to know, or get possibly leave a link. By the way, is it weird that a girl whants to get into motorcross to guys? It sounds like you don't own a bike, and haven't been to any races. Start with baby steps first - go to a local race. See what it's really like, not just what you see on tv on the pro level. Real racing at a local track is hot, dusty, dirty, loud and confusing. For riders and fans, it's great - but if you've never been, you have no way of knowing if you'll even like being a spectator, let alone a racer! Next, check with your local bike shop to see if there's any dirt bike classes that supply a bike and a day or two of training. These are the first steps that will show you 1. if you really like motocross, and 2. If you like riding. I hope it works out for you - it can be really fun, and the women's classes are super-competitive now. Exercise, you may not have the upper body strength or leg strength to compete. I have seen lots of ur Question about Motorcross and i m intrested to be honest i was the same i realy enjoyed riding bikes but my dad didnt let me and i bought one and hid it in my frens and go offroad at weekends then my dad found out and had to swap if for a car i really loved my bike but time went by car was getting rusty and sold it at end and go a moped to start of with then along i came with a bigger bike sold the 50cc and got a offroader again its great fun u should try it and u will enjoy it but just be carefull i have come of it many times but u will get used to that and never come off again if u are carefull enough any way take care and have fun with the bike 1) start off with someting not powerfull... Motocross is for everyone! I would start out with a bike that is no larger than a 125cc depending on age and size if your young and small 80cc. There are no uniforms or fashion in motocross. All you need for now is a helmet, elbow/knee pads, and a cheast protector. couple gallons of "92 octain min" gas and a track. |
