Problem with laundry. Stain removal.? |
I have a Fox Racing cotton shirt. It is black, grey and white. I went out dirt biking and got it full of mud, now the white is full of stains. Can I bleach the shirt, or will that make the black and grey lighter? I really like this shirt and would prefer not to buy another one. Soak the shirt in Oxy clean! Don't bleach it!!! After two days wash it on warm..not hot! Dump the water and shirt into the washer..the water will give your detergent a boost. Good luck! I get all my stains out this way! Also for smaller stains..Buy Stain Stick and rub on the object.Let it work for 10 min or so,launder as usual.Lot's of times,even if you wash it the next day,the stain will be gone! Try an overnight soak in Biz then wash with your regular detergent. Oxyclean gets my vote Be Blessed! I would first soak it in cold water and OXY CLEAN. Do not use bleach it will ruin the shirt. After soaking overnight then wash it again using one or two scoops of OXY CLEAN again. Use cold water only. That should begin to whiten the whites without harming the blacks or greys. It may take several washings to get the job done but if you like the shirt then it will be worth it for you. Good Luck. |
