Female motorcycle riders??

What was your first bike? I am coming off of a Honda XR 100 (Dirt) that was my first go-round. Totally outgrown it, experience/size wise... Am looking into some Kawi / Suzi 250's for my starter bike. I know one of the AMS instructors and he is cutting me a deal on a used, dented, trainer..
Anyone else care to share their experiences with a starter bike??
I am 5'4" and about 100 lbs.. I have been riding backseat biatch for almost 10 years, and am a careful rider... Can do small stunts, nothing spectacular yet. Have been tolling on the XR100 for over 3 years now... Just FYI~

If you want to stay Suzi, go w/ a GS500 or a naked SV650. Kaw has the Ninja 250 but its range is really limited and they have a Ninja 500 too. Remember, you get a fairing, is gets qualified as a sport bike and insurance goes up
As long as your not a fat biker girl all that is coo.
Ninja 250 is ok, but a Suzuki SV650 may not be too big either. If you want to try something less race oriented, look at a yamaha Virago 535
Okay, get ready to be blown away ! I am a 59 year old grandma & my first bike was in 1968 & it was a red Honda 350. I had long dark hair like Cher & wore a Bucco helmet with all butterflies all over it. Cars would pull up next to me at traffic lights to see if I had boobs to see if I was a girl.
Oh yeah, at the time I had a 2 year old son & had been married 3 1/2 years.
Unfortunaly I can't ride no longer had spine surgery & had rods & screws in my back & can't take any chances. If it wasn't for that I would be a Harley Momma !
BUT I do drive a big honkin' Ford 4 X 4 pickup that is really hot, that's why my nickname on here is Mammer/Jammer (from an old Ford truck commercial that you wouldn't remember)
Do me a big favor sweetie take a ride for me !!
Enjoy every minute of it but be careful & aways wear a helmet ! My friend that is my age wasn't & went off her harley & is pretty messed
up ~!
You go girl! But as a rider for 30 odd years now remember,SAFTY!!! Bikes wre desighned with 2 wheels, both were intended to be in contact with the ground. Watch and ride as if you wre in every vehicle you can see.The open road is more dangerous than the dirt.
