Anyone know a better contact lense brand//General contact help? |
I just got my contact lense today. It is the accuveve 2 or whatever. They are two week disposable. While riding my bike down a hill today i flew off and hit the ground. I got some dirt in my eye and thats when it started becoming irritated. When i finally got them out (took 20 min) i noticed a scratch, possibly a tear. My friend who has contacts was over and she said that they were very flimsy. Is this the brand or just me? Does it have to do with my prescription? I only have to wear them in my left eye and my perscription is 20/75. I'm going to call my eye doctor tommorow to either get another pair or switch brands. Help?? Source(s): (Becoming/In Training) medical assistant, ekg , and phlebotimist Margret Diana Li Diaz Fley there are different brands of contacts that are made from different materials. talk to your eye doctor and express your concerns. he/she will be able to fit you with a lens that will meet your needs. i have a problem with dry eyes and recently to switched to a new brand that is made with a different material that allows more oxygen to pass through. so hang in there. I use this brand and love...love them. Being 2 week disposable lens means that they WILL be thinner and flimsier than say permanent lenses. I've worn contacts for 20 years |
