At age of 36 can you still compete in road cycling on professional level ? ? Compete? Yes. Win? No. The 2008 Olympics has a few gals in mid 30's, and one noted was 49 years old. Jeannie Longo-Ciprelli from France. You can still compete but realistically you won't be winning races against guys in their twenties so the question would be one of motivation- you'd be cycling without any expectation of winning and personally I would find it difficult to motivate myself to do that. yes, there isnt an age limit and generally there are companies sponsoring all age groups. at 42 you can race master's, and it would be simply a matter of being good enough to be noticed by a team. Yes you can. With a lot of practice you can compete with everyone. There are quite a few pros that age and older. |
