What size bike should a 5' 4" male child get? |
I am wondering if a 20" or 24" in. size wheel is appropriate. Go to a bike store and they will help fit him to the right size. Height is a notoriously bad indicator as to the correct bike. Different people have different proportions. They can have longer torsos or longer legs. That's why there are so many brands. No, a 24 or 20 inch sized bike is for smaller children. I am 5 foot 2 and ride a 43cm road bike with 26'' tires and a 17.5 inch mountain bike with 26'' tires. go to a bike store and they will get you fitted on the correct size bike. Those sizes would only work if your talking about a BMX style bike, otherwise he needs adult size bikes - 26" wheels MTB or cruser type or 700c for road bikes. |
