Which bike to choose for touring Europe?

I am looking at touring round Europe in August. will be doing about 100 miles a day. Which bike should I choose ?
Any help or advice will be greatly appriacated.
I like Trek so have narrowed my choice down to

The second one looks faster but the first one has extra luggage room and the stabilsers could be handy on the fast alpine descents

Definitely number one. If you doing 100 miles a day you will need a proper pair of cycling shorts. May I suggest you consider the following

I think the Mystic 16 is your best choice, especially if you plan to ride in the Alps.

Also, the colors are very Euro and you would fit in better with the locals, especially in France.
