Gyro Brakes?

Does anyone know how to make the gyro brakes work like charm? i've tried tightening stuff and adjusting cables, but i just cant get them to work like non-gyro bikes. Is there any way to make them better w/o swapping them out for normal cables?

Thanx

Gyros are there so you can spin the handlebars around without the cables getting fouled. They will NEVER work like non-Gyro brakes.

If the Gyro is on a cheap bike (no offense intended) it probably doesn't work well because it is, well, cheap but it can probably be adjusted well by a bike shop for acceptable performance.

That being said, your problem is more likely with the brake calipers. My guess is that you have U brakes, right? These are difficult to set up if you don't have experince in them. If you don't have U brakes and the bike was purchased at Walmart or something it may even have stamped steel caliper brakes. These won't stop you no matter what you do.

take it to ur bikeshop. its hard to describe over the internet.
