I'm trying to get into bmx but im having some problems doing anything.. I've built up my stamina on the bike a little bit but im far from pro. Any tips on first tricks to learn to kinda boost my confidence and get me started? I wanna start going to a indoor bmx park but i dont want to go until i have at least gotten some trick down. By the way im about 180ish lbs and 5' 6" think bmx will help me lose some weight? and do you think i should work out some to build some muscle /lose some fat before i start trying to really get into bmx? I have a Haro X-03 Backtrail Series i know it isnt the best but it should be a fine trash bike for learning right? By the way what kind of protection gear do you wear when learning? Riding indoor parks / outdoor? riding street or flatland? ok lot of questons.i will start off with if you cont bunny hop learn to do that.if u need instructions go to youtube.com type in how to bunny hop,learn to manuel,barspin and such u caan find instructions on this on youtube.com. next biking will help loose wait and also stop drinking soda.and about the protection all u realy need is a helmet and i dont even where that.GOOD luck!! ride indoor and flatland before you learn the hard stufff. i used to bmx i was really good. all you need to do is practice |

Wow, that bike is an oldie. You sure it is Raleigh? Rampar was also made by Rand International. It is the rear derailleur, but you'll probably need a new chain (size 1/2" x 3/32")... a haro is a bad bike.. will bmx help you lose weighttt??????? maybe just exercise other then bmxing too and keep on a good diettt. you should wear gear and gloves. ...You can purchase a steerer tube from the same website. Just call 'em and ask for the best match. They're only around $15.00 or so. ...do a bunny hop, but as soon as your front tire comes off the ground, turn it. you should also turn your head and body in the direction you want to turn. just jump as high as you bunny hop and you... The OUTSIDE DIAMETER of the tire is about 26". ...Huffy bikes are of low end quality sold at places like Walmart. The Diamondback is decent though. BTW, there's no such thing as a 'best brand'. It's all a matter of opinio... Sounds like a good deal to me. Not spectacular, but good. I am not too sure that I would have paid much more than that. The Trek 7500 hybrid is a nice bike for wandering around the neighborhood ... The noise might be a sign that your chain is worn out and you should get a new one, but more likely- Your bottom bracket either needs lubricant or a new part. What kind of bike do you have? If ... |
