I'm trying to get into bmx but im having some problems doing anything.. I've built up my stamina on the bike a little bit but im far from pro. Any tips on first tricks to learn to kinda boost my confidence and get me started? I wanna start going to a indoor bmx park but i dont want to go until i have at least gotten some trick down. By the way im about 180ish lbs and 5' 6" think bmx will help me lose some weight? and do you think i should work out some to build some muscle /lose some fat before i start trying to really get into bmx? I have a Haro X-03 Backtrail Series i know it isnt the best but it should be a fine trash bike for learning right? By the way what kind of protection gear do you wear when learning? Riding indoor parks / outdoor? riding street or flatland? a haro is a bad bike.. will bmx help you lose weighttt??????? maybe just exercise other then bmxing too and keep on a good diettt. you should wear gear and gloves. catwalk(firdt thing i learn and i can walk a mean catwalk)bunnY _hop SPIN AND PEG TRICKS If ya want to get into BMX - try siding inbetween the m and the x. next time leave some spaces it's be easier for you. |

You can purchase a steerer tube from the same website. Just call 'em and ask for the best match. The noise might be a sign that your chain is worn out and you should get a new one, but more likely- Your bottom bracket either needs lubricant or a new part. What kind of bike do you have? If ... What matters is the total weight of bike and rider. Acceleration and vertical ascent rate on hills is almost proportional to total weight (at constant power). Total weight really doesn't matte... You will probably get a differenct answer from everybody, due to taste differences. The best I have used are Assos, but they are awfully expensive.
