What is a good cycle computer? (non-wireless)? |
What is a good cycle computer? (non-wireless)? I have two faves: Cateye Astrale 8 and the Trek Incite 11i. Both are rear -wheel pickups with a cadence sensor to see what your PPM (pedal per minute) is. The Trek also has a handy temperature readout. It WILL tend to read a bit on the high side as it measures reflective heat as well as ambient. But it IS a cool feature, nonetheless. If you want a simple front-mount sensor: The Cateyes are the best I have ever used. The few Specialized I used developed harness problems (shorts) within a month. Source(s): Many years of using and installing computer harnesses and using a variety of models. Specialized has a good one believe it or not. But the best thing to get by far is GPS. Try the Garmin Forerunner 305, then you won't even need a cycle computer. I love mine. Check it out. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cid=... |
