Mavic Open Pros or Easton Circuits for Everyday Wheels?

Here is the deal:

1. Mavic Open Pros with 32 a three cross pattern and Record Hubs. About 1725 Grams.
2. Easton Circuits with Easton hubs and radial front lacing and a two cross pattern in back. About 1650 grams.

Criteria:

Serviceability
Stiffness
Ride quality
Weight

I'm pretty sure the weight is not different enough to notice. What about stiffness and ride quality. I do a lot of climbing and do not want a lot of flex but would like a ride that is not too harsh.

Thoughts?

Both are strong wheels but I have to give the edge to the Open Pros. You can pick up a set at Performance bikes.com for around $200 and most cyclist recommend them first for Clydesdale riders. That's how strong they are. With a Campy hub, it might cost a little more but those wheels are virtually bulletproof and Campy hubs are usually just as durable as Shimano hubs.
I don't have a strong opinion either way. Both are good wheels. Campy hubs are for Campy drive train, the Eastons are Shimano only. I don't know (someone here will) if you can change out the freehub on either. So which drive train you using? That may decide you choice right there.

The Open Pro hoops should be stiffer, more spokes and 3-cross would do this. However, the Eastons will be more than stiff enough I'm sure. (reviews claim this)

Serviceability? I think the Campy is loose bearings, Eastons are sealed cartridge. Easy to service loose bearings. But sealed you don't need to mess with until they're shot. They are cheap to get replaced. You figure out which way to go.

Check out roadbikereview.com - Eastons get excellent reviews. Since Mavic doesn't build Open Pro wheels, just the rims, it's hard to compare on that site. The rims get very good reviews there as well.

You know the weight. The review site will give more info on ride quality, since I haven't rode the Eastons and used Open Pros many, many years ago my opinion on this would not be valid.

Tough question!
I've never ridden either of those makes but my guess would be that the open Pro wheels would retain their true longer by virtue of their lacing pattern. I've read that triple crossing makes for a stronger-though heavier (due to the longer spokes) wheel.

That said, I use Mavic Cosmics with a radial laced front wheel on my bike and have never had a problem with them.
I have open pros with Dura-Ace hubs and I love them. They're plenty stiff and light and incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately I've never ridden the Eastons so I don't know how good they are, but my everyday commuting wheel is the Open Pro.
