S&M is a private company so it is unlikely you'll EVER be able to come up with an accurate answer. Heck, I work for one of the largest privately held bike manufacturers in the country and I have no idea what kind of money they make.
I can tell you that boutique companies such as S&M build bikes for the love of the sport, not for the money, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they lose money.
