Can you identify this type of valve?

I have a nice bike. I do not have a bike pump for it though. It has a strange valve that I can't seem to identify. Where can I get a pump or a conversion to attach it to a car tire style pump?

It's not strange at all. It's a presta valve and is used on all performance bikes. You can buy a pump at any bike shop or on-line for it. An adapter is available everywhere, even Wal Mart sells 'em. If you buy an adaptor, get the brass one, plastic ones don't work as well. They are about buck each.
That's a Presta valve. You can buy a special adapter for about $2 for your current tire pump at any good bike shop. You can put air in the tire by first unscrewing that little bead on the stem. You'll notice, when it's up, that the stem goes up and down. Apply the adapter now, and pump it up! Remember to screw down that little bead and apply the cap when the tire is full.
