My bike rusts how can i stop it from rusting? You have some very amusing answers! They only way you can prevent rust is to keep it dry and remove all oxygen! Ferrous oxide is rust and its a process whereby oxygen reacts with any iron, in your frame. In reality the above is a bit impractical! Use WD40 to protect exposed metal parts (WD stands for water displacement) I risk a deluge of thumbs down for even mentioning it but ask me, if I care what a bunch of clueless halfwits think? . put it in the garage. it rusts because it gets wet. pee on it the acid in your pee will react with the rust and it will go away or it will prevent it from rusting. Don't leave it outside!!! Buy some WD-40 and spay the parts that are rusty. TRUST ME IT WORKS!!! good luck Me Grease it and store it indoors. Don't use WD-40 to lube it and definitely NO urine! |
