Bunny hop help!!!? |
ive got the techinique right but when i pull up i just cant get the back end off the ground very well there is many different ways most keep pedals even but i put my stronger foot down and than i bunny hop . all you have to do when you pull up is pretend to kick yourself in the rear with your pedla and feet and you will get it just keep practicing and if this helps . first practice getting front wheel high than when you think your good lean forward and kick yourself with pedals in the butt and then once its high enough put together the 2 and you have your self a bunnyhop. but remember i practice even when you get it down and know how to do it. i do when im not hurt lol This could be a balancing issue with your bike. Maybe your bike weighs too much, or you just can't get the required umph (due to leverage) to preform a bunny hop. I can't do bunny hops on my mountain bike. My friends, who can do bunny hops on theirs, can't preform them on mine either. make sure your pedals are leveled and push your toes a little bit down and make sure you also sock up your knees and legs as high as possible I'm afraid you don't have the technique if the back wheel isn't coming up. I view it like this... Picture a ribbon on the end of a stick being waved around, wherever the part of the ribbon attached to the stick goes, the end of the ribbon follows. The wheels of your bike work like this, you have to lift the front WHILST crouching, ready to 'hop', get your weight over the back wheel and try to push the back wheel underneath the front using your pedals whilst tugging on the bars to get the front up. Then 'hop' forwards whilst trying to grip the pedals as if you have no shoes on; the back will simply follow where the front went - this should be all one fluid motion - thats the technique part, getting high requires practice but mostly more effort. The lifting the front up part should NOT require you to pull really quickly on the bars, let the front drift up, body positioning is more important. -persevere, it'll come to you! experience |
