If it takes 15 mins by car, how long will it take by bike? |
im trying to see how long it will take me to ride my bike to my friends house when it takes 15 mins by car. thanks Depends on the day and variables. 15 minutes to the YMCA by car for me. Hot day not pulling my daughter...about 35-40 minutes Hot day pulling my daughter....about 45-50 minutes Average day not pulling....about 30 minutes Average day pulling.....about 40 minutes I average anywhere between 13 - 18 mph depending on the time of day, weather and if I have my daughter along. Not enough info. How fast is the car going? Flat road? How fast can you ride? How many miles? not specific enough how fast was the car going? how fast do you ride your bike? answer thos questions and i can answer your question. You really are not giving enough information... It depends where it is, how fast the car is going, how fast you can bike, traffic, etc. etc. I can give an example from my experience... takes about 6 minutes to drive (in a car) to school. This is through the suburbs. Very little time on a highway. No time on a freeway. Takes 8.5 minutes to bike there... 15 minutes (assuming you can keep up the pace) might take 25 minutes? Still you really can't count on that without more info. It depends on how far in miles your friends house is and how fast you pedal. You will probably pedal 10 to 15 mph which for a 9 mile trip would be about 45 min to an hour. It's tough to say, but I'd just guesstimate 20-30 minutes, assuming you're going to be driving and stopping at perhaps a couple of lights/stop signs, going through a neighborhood... Ride there, it's not a big deal, they you will know. |
