Do you know how old you have to be to go on the underground railroad bike trail?

i'm 13 almost 14 in the 9th grade.I was wondering how old you have to be to go on the underground railroad bike trail? Answer are Sincerely Appreciated.

That's a fascinating and challenging route. Adventure cycling has organized tours where you travel with a group. That would be best.

Find someone in your family and friends to ride with and go as a group on their tour. I think it's most fun and safer to ride with a group.

Be sure to train hard. For a ride that long if you have not done multi day tours before you should train up to a year in advance. Try some shorter one day, and then build up to multiple day rides. Train with a local bike club and learn to ride distances and how to ride safely in traffic.

You'll need to be able to ride 40-100 miles a day to complete the trail. Maybe you could do parts of it to start.

When you can centuries (100 mile rides) over multiple days safely and easily and have your group....go!!!!

multi day tour rider since 1997, 5 times San Francisco to Los Angeles 585 miles in 7 days.
I don't see an age limit on http://www.adv-cycling.org/news/2007ugrr...

There are pages to scour thought and you might have do dig in and search. There were also a couple toll-free numbers there for more info.

Persist till you find out. I rode my first double century at 14.
Ride it , in your age you need to explore . Just on case have with you your cycling friend . Have a nice and safe ride .
