I would like your recommendations for best bicycling spots stateside.?

I am representing Coyne publications, writing an article detailing the best spots to go for cycling in the U.S. and in Europe. These will be two separate articles. I have a few spots in mind, but in order to be objective, it will help to solicit input from others. Thank you!

The Perkiomen Trail in Pennsylvania. It begins very close to Valley Forge Historical Park and follows the Perkiomen Creek in a roughly northwest direction toward Schwenksville, Pennsylvania.

It is scenic, well kept, mostly shaded, goes near stores in some spots, and is mostly flat. There are a few big hills - one being 9 degrees, the other 12 degrees of incline. Map posts dot the route and the trail is clearly marked.

A few parks are adjacent to the trail, restroom amenities abound, and the trail breaks off into 3 loops at a place called Green Lane Park. It is 20 to 21 miles long and several stretches are paved and other parts made of gravel.
Whether paved or off road, you have to consider Colorado.

The Breckenridge and Vail pass paved paths have to be a real challenge, yet doable and tremendous thrills. For less demanding paths, the urban/suburban paths of Boulder and Denver are quite nice for city types.

Dirt? The Rocky Mt's and the Eastern Utah Mtn bike trails are the best in the country. and you can do the ski, lifts and free ride down.

Thanks for asking.
