BMX problems? |
Want to ride a wheelie longer, i can only ride one about 10 feet When i grip my handlebars, i get blisters, any ideas hm, wd40 on the back wheel, um try wearing some biking gloves. hope you get good wheelies dude! lean back and stop pedaling and manual if u go too far back YES! A WHEELIE QUESTION !!! Dude, no b.s. i can ride a wheelie on a bmx sitting down or standing up for....well never checked, but i rode uphill on one on my mountain bike for over a half mile on tha highway. The secret is that, you know when yer pedalin yer *** off to stay upright cuz tha bike is going faster? keep one finger on ya back brakes, and feather touch it to slow you down while on tha wheelie. i recommend tha ring finger, cuz its not very strong, but has OK dexterity. if you feel like you are leaning too far backwards, just lightly apply tha back brake; it will slow your wheel down and change your center of balance slighlty. hit me back up if this helped. p.s. that guy that said WD-40 on tha back wheel? what does lube have to do with a wheelie.....and grease is used for wheel bearings and light oils for chains.....he must got his bike outta trashcan .... wd-40 only helps remove rust from some parts. What he said, about wheelies. As for the blisters, wear riding gloves that you like. I prefer unpadded long finger gloves because sometimes padding makes it worse for me and it doesn't give me the same feel of control for riding stunts. If you sweat a lot, changing out your gloves to a dry pair while you ride seems to help. I have three permanent callouses on each hand from riding and jerking the bike around......it's just part of it, I think. :o) |
