ok everyone at the skate park that i hang out with has a casette not a freewheel but theres is so loud, so i just bought a 2007 gt bump with a cassete why is mine so silint Hello, The freewheel mechanism is part of the wheel's freehub. Different manufactueres have different tastes. Some like a loud "click", some don't I prefer no noise so the wheels I buy make almost no noise. My friend's bike has wheels you can hear a block away and I find that very anoying. So choose the wheel that matches your taste. Yours still has lube in it. The other kids haven't a clue how to care for their bikes and never lube anything. And you needed to know this because......??? im pretty sure its just the different cassettes because mine wasnt very loud and then i broke that wheell and got a new one and that one wicked loud so its most likely just the difference |
