What is a micro dropout on a bmx?

What is a micro dropout on a bmx?

the above is correct. however larger dropouts protect your rear hub and cassete assemblies durring a grind. if its a matter of choosing a frame, let your ability make the call. if you have persision rear peg placement abilitys then the micro drop outs are the way to go. if you are still learning then a larger drop out will save you some expensive parts. micro dropouts are small dropouts that do not hang down very far below the axle. The reason for this is that a rider will often wind up grinding on his dropout rather than the pegs...this creates more drag and thus less distance and slower grinding speeds.
