Can a bianchi milano handle big hills?

i live in California and i have 2 go up huge hills 2 get where i want, the milano is super comfortable but im not sure if its the right bike 2 use 4 my terrain... should i go with this bike or get something like a trek or anything that people have used and enjoyed? try 2 make the price of the your suggested bike under $600! thx alot!

The bike will only handle what your legs and heart can deliver.

It won't matter if you borrow a $6,000 bike if YOU can't handle the hills.

The Milano is fine. Any bike in that range is a serviceable entry-level bike.

You are the weakest link in the equation, a few pounds of weight in frame or components doesn't matter.
dude, the milano is just fine. it depends on your gearing.. not sure of what you have, but I'm sure your local bike shop can hel you out.
12 years of riding the hills in san francisco.
Don't you think you should just try it before you blow 6 c notes?
It is nice looking commuter bike for shure . Has 44 crank and 8 speed , 26 wheels .....Personally I think if you plan to climb big hills to look for commuter with extra gears and low gearing . What about load inside panniers if you pedaling up to the huge hills ? Try and let us to know ....... Bike can handle anythink and Iam worry if you handle the bike up to the hill .
it's not about the bike
it's about your fitness level
It's more the gearing-- the milano has 8 speed internal shifting.

If you are carrying stuff and have traffic signals before the hills, then the gearing may not be sufficient.

However, if you can't pedal well enough up the hill at the start, walk it up until you can ride it up.

Also hills can be huge by being steep or long. The long ones are tiring, but the steep ones need lower gears or more momentum.
