I weigh 315 pounds but want to get a bike to ride to lose weight. Are there inexpensive bikes built for me? Check with your local bike shop. I've seen bigger people on entry level mountain and hybrid bikes (usually run about $300 or so) . Good luck on the weight loss. In a word, no. If you want something strong and reliable, you need to be ready to spend a bit of money. There are bicycles built for heavier folk, though. Here's one company: http://www.supersizedcycles.com/... Good luck CR Schwinn has a bike called the Heavy Duti. Its tuff as nails, try that. It has double wall rims, heavy spokes, heavy frame, strong seat and heavy bars and forks. |
