What is a good mid level mtb for a 12 year old to have? |
guys i need a good mid level mtb for under 600 wat r some good sugestions? Depends on what type of biking the 12 year old does. Are they freeriding, downhilling, hucking, single tracking etc and the country you're in. Some good brands that I've owned (I'm now in the US but, I lived in England for 28 years) are Cannondale, Specialized and Kona. All 3 have great specific frames and models for the above-mentioned riding styles. All 3 of these are available in most countries but the Cannondale are going to be more towards the top end of things. For your budget, I'd say Specialized. Please stay away from the big store bikes if you want quality and reliability. From what I've been reading in the mags too, the UK scene have some phenomenal bikes right now. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy of MBUK. If you're in the US, you can get it at Barnes & Noble but, it's $10!! Also, check out www.MBUK.com for the mags website.
