Why dosen't America come clean and admit that Armstrong is a doper and completely screwed cycling??? Right, he won seven years straight and never got caught. I think he was probably one of the cleanest examples of an athlete and that a lot of foreign fans would like to come up with an excuse not to give him credit. He has been scrutinized over and over again. Stop the bitter, unsubstantiated accusations and let the man have his peace! Well, lets see....uh....um - BECAUSE HE'S NOT!!! Unlike some of the other athletes I can think of, Lance Armstrong appears to have gone through just about every test known to man and NONE of them seem to have found evidence of doping. If you want to be angry about somebody - how about all the losers (from a number of countries) that seem to have done so trying to match his records since he retired? Well, in America, or at least the USA, someone is innocent until prooven guilty. So far no one has provided any evidence that Armstrong used drugs. Also, how can America come clean. Only Lance knows what he as don or not done. Even if he used drugs, how has he screwed cycling any more than any of the other cyclists that have admitted to using drugs and those who have not. I am curious about how you phrased your question. I am assuming you are from some place other than the USA. Just who is America that you mention? America doesn't own, manage or is responsible for a retired cyclist. The broad sweeping, extremist, inaccurate and poorly stated question is obviously an attempt by a fool to illicit a response like this. You win, happy? Lance didn't dope and was one of the best cyclists to be in the Tour de France. He was clean. Joe, you need to read a book called "It's Not About the Bike." Or maybe your mother can read it to you. It even has nice photos in it for you to look at ! Lance was tested more than any other rider in history. They would show up whenever and where-ever he was. Day or night. Lance has done nothing but HELP the sport. Doping had been a problem for some long before he entered the sport. |
