How much is a used diamondback worth? |
I bought it used and am looking to resell it after not using it much. it says franko and it's solid green with no stickers.everything original as far as i can tell. minimum scratches.dont know model joker,viper,etc...made around 2002. thanks Without knowing what model it is it's impossible to say. Each manufacture makes bikes costing maybe $100 to $5000 new. You'll need to determine you model, you know the year, brand and condition already. If you have a low end bike sold in Wally Mart or the like it may have cost $100 to $250 new. The market for these is weak. You will get somewhere in the range of $30 to $60 or so. In most cases you will get less that 30% of new value if it's in very good shape. Not a lot. Diamondbacks are pretty low end to start with. If everything was in really good shape, I might pay as much as $50 to use it as a beater around town. Well, some DiamondBack bikes are tough than most bikes available in the bike shops---the Response Elite, Axis TT, and the dual suspension rigs ages ago were priced HIGHER than most inferior and easy-to-self-destruct TAIWANESE kits---so I'm not putting down D-Back in ANY manner. They were better than Univega.some KHS hardtails, Caloi or even Murrays! All you gotta do is upgrade the components---Shimano LX deore, crankset, Mavic rims/ Avid rim brakes, cool riser bar, Easton seatpost and Fizik saddle combi, and even SRAM shifters---BOOM! It'll sell FAST! Buy 'em all at Price Point (www.pricepoint.com) for a STEAL price! I have a car. What's it worth? |
