Is schuinn mesa LT a good cycling bike?

Go for it . Not bad bike for the money at all .
The frame is good and lite! Hardtail so no rear suspension! The brakes are sidepull (not as good as centerpull or disc brakes) not normally stocked on mountain bikes. The other components appear to be good. I wouldn't do any serious mountian biking with it or any downhill.
Experience
I had a Mesa about 3 years ago and it was a nice entry level bike, I would guess that the LT is above.

I prefer V-Brakes over cantilever for mountains, that's where I don't agree with BS , but he makes sense for the other stuff.
