Where can i find a good company to bike with across the country from the east to west coast? |
Where can i find a good company to bike with across the country from the east to west coast? I found one site that referenced a trans-continental tour. The company that offers the trans-continental tour is America by Bicycle: http://www.abbike.com/. I know nothing about them. The following website lists a large number of tour companies. http://www.paloaltobicycles.com/best_res... I guess you could always enter the Race Across America (just kidding) Good luck. Check internet , bike tours . To many around and costly . From Coast to Coast ...... I think that you will encounter problem because they have designated routes for cyclists . If is not late and I do not have different program , I will go for this about 6 000 km trip . Try ad , somebody maybe interested for this self supporting trip and also you safe money . Or take chances and go alone , may you find touring cyclists on your way and I personally thing is the best way to go if you independent . Check out RAAM Race Across America, you might be able to connect with some folks training for the race. RAAM has a west to east as well as a East to West in the past, although the race is run West to East nowadays. Another group you may be able to connect with is the Randonneurs these folks have scheduled events up to 400 miles again if you schedule it right and string them together you may be able to do the whole deal. Check out the latter pages of Bicycling Magazine there are a bunch of companies listed there that do adventure tours and such. Good luck in your search!
