How do you put a cable inside the on a bike that helps the bike stop? |
The that pull the cable to break is detached from the lever Overview: Remove the cable from the brake at the wheel end of the cable. line up the slots on the brake lever adjusting and locking nuts. depress the brake lever and pull the cable from the brake handle, rotate the brake cable thru the line up slots. drop the brake cable barrel from the brake handle. then lube the new cable and push it thru the housing, gently. reverse the above procedure. read http://www.sheldonbrown.com/cables.html... first. Source(s): http://www.sheldonbrown.com/cables.html... feed it through the hollow tubes of the frame. UMM you mean the brake cable. feed the break cable through lever It would be nice if you tried writing proper English so that we can understand what you're saying. If I understand you correctly, the cable end that attaches the cable to the brake lever has broken off on one of your brake cables. If that is so, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do with it. Take the cable out, buy a new one from the shop and thread it through the housing and attach it again. The only important point I can think of to tell you is that it's not necessary to replace the housing. Leave that in place. Just replace the cable itself. Hope this helps. |
