Question on my butt???

when cycling is it true that only your thighs and calf would appear smaller??? i have been cycling and my butt havent appeared any smaller.

There is a direct correlation between the amount of energy (how long you bike at any given time) you burn, the amount of calories you take in each day and how long you have been biking. The key to weight loss is staying with it. I suggest you bike for at least 30 minutes three times per week and modify your caloric intake. Before any serious exercise program, it is advisable to get a physical. Remember, the weight didn't go on over night and it will not go off over night. If you keep up a regular exercise program, you will lose weight (and inches from your back side) and your cardiovascular systems (heart, lungs, blood vessles) will thank you. Bottom line: your overall health will improve. Source(s): I am a degreed registered nurse with over 30 years experience
I'll need to see before and after pics.
yeah, it often happens. sadly, the midsection and butt are the last two bits to start loosing weight. so you gotta do heaps of work first before you start to notice it. however, i think with but it often helps to target upper muscles with exercises for upper regions as well. cycling focuses mainly on legs =)
Are you taking a class? If you are, ask your instructor...maybe they'll know....If not, then hit the gym and ask them about fitness and cycling. Hope this helps....
yep, what someone else said, you gain the first bit of weight on your butt, so i would assume thats the last place to loose it... just keep at it.. id just say try to burn a few more calories then your eating everyday and you'll be to thin before you know it.
people have this misconception that you can target where you lose weight. it isnt so. your body gives up weight usually in the reverse as it stored it. cycling developes your muscles in your legs, they become firmer, more defined because the muscles are growing. the fat on the other hand comes off usually from the limbs in. losing fat from the core of your body takes time. usually your legs and arms give it up first. you have to let the weight progress however your body lets it. keep working, keep eating right, and give it time.
